Roehampton Veterinary Clinic offer a comprehensive service from preventative health care to emergency medicine and complex surgery, and are a leading clinic in the development of Integrative Veterinary Medicine. Dedicated to the wellbeing of your pet, they aim to find the most appropriate solution for each individual animal.

Together we came up with key brand values that would inspire the brand concept, as well as a strapline to represent their philosophy - a crafted blend of clinical excellence with compassionate care. 

The research undertaken by the surgeons, alongside the relationships between staff, clients and patients combine to create a sense of compassion, excellence and magic. Our challenge was to explore how this story could be told and reflected in the brand.

Our approach was to look at representing the idea of craft and care. The final concept is an abstract heart shape, rotated to make the letter ‘R’. It was drawn to feel solid and strong with a sense of nurturing and a touch of magic. The typography is clean and bold to represent the clinical aspects.

The icon is also combined to create two graphics for the brand, symbolising harmony and infinity - the on-going care provided by the clinic. 

The colour palette is inspired by the clinic exterior, a very attractive and welcoming building, and represents keywords for the brand - clinical, visionary, compassionate, healing, refined.

The theme of craft is carried through into the finishing on collateral - the business cards are printed on uncoated stock with a clear foil to the brand graphic on the reverse; the main sign is a satin stainless steel faceplate with laser cut-out graphics mounted onto thick satin stainless steel backplate with digitally printed self adhesive vinyl graphics applied.

The result is a brand that positions the company as best of breed within their sector - something fresh and refined compared to the majority of visual identities seen in this sector.

The website is built on the Umbraco platform, delivering an intuitive CMS that allows for really easy creation of content by the client. Currently a space to show off the clinic and their services, the second phase of the website build will involve creating a section to share much of the clinic’s expertise, providing an incredible resource for pet owners, with a powerful search function.
